Reporting to: CTO and Regional Sales Director

Job background

As a Product Support Engineer Asia-Pacific, you are responsible for supporting sales processes in the Asia-Pacific region, along with providing technical support to our direct customers and our distributors. You are responsible for supporting frontline technicians as and when needed, especially with installation challenges, troubleshooting and software related issues. As a people-oriented person, you feel comfortable involving your team and customers in challenging situations, while collaborating with the Product Support team in Europe.


  • You will be part of the International Product Support team and will focus on the Asia-Pacific region;
  • You will receive extensive training on Movacolor equipment, preparing you for installation and customer training;
  • You perform cost analyzes and prepare quotes for non-standard configurations and special installations;
  • You are involved in investigating, determining and solving all technical problems that cannot be solved with the help of regular support. You do this remotely or on location;
  • You consult, coordinate and collaborate with colleagues in the European region as part of your daily services;
  • You perform root cause analyzes of recurring problems and provide technical recommendations to the Engineering team;
  • You respond in a timely manner to problems, both internally and from customers, while you maintain an extensive file of cases.

Desired profile

Technical Qualifications

  • Higher education in mechanical or electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar (BSc);
  • At least three years of experience in technical sales and/or technical services;
  • Experience with customer management system (e.g. MS Dynamics CRM);
  • Proficient in English, knowledge of other languages ​​is welcome;
  • Experience in the plastics processing industry is a plus.

Personal skills and qualifications

  • Customer-oriented, you are interested in customers and take customer needs into account when setting priorities and solving problems;
  • Self-starter, you are able to prioritize and network with stakeholders in external organizations to achieve what is needed for the benefit of the customer;
  • You are flexible and open to different people, cultures, environments and situations;
  • You are willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
